best-ever gift-giver

Lisa is here! After flying all night and fighting a four-hour time difference, she and baby Emmanuel were pretty sleepy, which worked out just fine because we spent a lot of time today at the office while the two of them rested. But!! She is here!! My goal is to start taking more pictures of our two babies together, but here's some observations from our day:

  • Emmanuel loves Nate.
  • He's also very generous with his huge, ewokish grins of ridiculous sweetness.
  • Levi is quite curious about Emmanuel, but more as an "object" that he can bat at. We'll work on that.
  • Rubber spatulas make the world's finest teething toys.

And then this one:
  • Lisa continues to be my benchmark of good taste and thoughtful generosity with her beautiful and fun, tailored-to-you, totally unique gifts. Check this out:
Paul Thurlby's Alphabet book. Coolest alphabet art ever. Annabel loves it and is currently flipping through it again before going to sleep.

Handmade wooden keys teething toy. How cool is this?!

Babylegs for boys. Something I always thought about making/buying for Levi but never did, and now he owns the middle three pairs in this picture. The monster ones are my favorite. So fantastic.

And Annabel got these:
She really likes them. The best part for me was that it got her all excited about babylegs all over again, and I got to pull out all the ones I made like two years ago that she never would wear - and she actually wore a pair to school! Thanks Auntie Lisa for the good influence! :)

And then, she sneakily spied on my Etsy favorites list and got me two treasures that have been on my list forever:

Georgeous big earrings in lovely shades.

And finally:

A totally awesome art print of none other than Pepe the King Prawn!!! This was Levi's fetal nickname.
Pepe is Nate's and my favorite muppet and is famous for the quote, "I am not a shrimp...I am a King Prawn!" --- which turned out to be absurdly prophetic when Levi came out as an 11-pounder.

Isn't she seriously awesome?! Thank you for the sweet and overwhelmingly I-know-you-so-well gifts, Lisa. We are so glad to have you here (gifts or not)!!! :)
