pit stop

Nate and I are on our way to Duluth. We were intending to drive late into the night, and get in about 1 AM. However, when it started snowing, we found wireless internet at some gas station to look at the weather. And of course, the entire state of Wisconsin (through which we are driving) was covered in snow. Only Wisconsin. Of course. We calculated out that, if we were lucky, and if we somehow managed to stay awake, and if we avoided spinning into the ditch, we might be able to make it by 3 AM. With a 2 year old in the car. Yeah, no thanks.

So, here we are, at some random hotel room in the Wisconsin Dells that's about the size of a large closet. Actually, it's about the size of our bedroom at home! No worries, I've always liked cozy little bedrooms.

Here's hoping we all actually manage to get some sleep after coughing up an extra fee for a baby crib. Wish us luck!
